Stephen McGovern

Stephen McGovern is an accomplished finance and governance professional with extensive experience in various senior roles. Currently serving as the Group Head of ICFR at Dole plc since May 2023, Stephen has also been a member of the Fitness to Practise Committee for Medical Council Ireland since May 2019, alongside previous governance roles within the organization. Stephen's past positions include Director of Europe Internal Controls for Financial Reporting at Total Produce, Chairperson of the Audit & Risk Committee at the Tax Appeals Commission, and Chief Financial Officer at Baker Tilly Ireland. With a robust foundation in audit, risk management, and compliance gained from years at CRH plc and other organizations, Stephen is also highly educated, possessing qualifications from esteemed institutions including King's College London and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, as well as being a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
