Daniel Highsmith

Daniel Highsmith has extensive experience in systems engineering and cloud platform engineering, currently serving as a Principal Platform Engineer at Dollar General since July 2019, following roles as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer and Senior IT Systems Administrator. Prior to Dollar General, Daniel worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Bass, Berry & Sims from April 2018 to July 2019. Daniel's career began at AMSURG, where a range of positions were held from Network Administrator to Communications Systems Engineer between 2008 and 2018. Early career experience also includes a Help Desk role at AmSurg from 2006 to 2008. Daniel holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University.
