Don Sowell

Don Sowell has extensive experience in demand chain management, currently serving as the Director of Demand Chain Management at Dollar General since January 1998. In this role, Don oversees end-to-end inventory management, including product fulfillment, service levels, and inventory levels across multiple departments, while leading a team of Demand Chain Managers and Analysts. Additionally, Don is responsible for developing item entrance and exit strategies, as well as planning and executing promotional and event strategies. Prior to Dollar General, Don worked at Fruit of the Loom as a Supervisor of EDI Systems from 1986 to 1998. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from Western Kentucky University, earned between 1980 and 1985.
