Scott Preston

Scott Preston has extensive experience as an attorney, specializing in corporate and technology contracts. Scott was the Senior Corporate Counsel at Domo, Inc. from December 2020 onwards, where they led the formation of subsidiary entities in India and Spain. Prior to this, they worked at Ancestry as the Senior Corporate Counsel from January 2015 to February 2020. In this role, they managed and negotiated contracts totaling over $400 million and handled content acquisition agreements. Before joining Ancestry, Scott worked at Fillmore Spencer LLC as an Attorney from October 2007 to May 2015. Scott also served as the Executive Director of Legal Affairs at Salt Aire Foundation from July 2011 to January 2014. Scott began their legal career at Hill Johnson and Schmutz, now Durham Jones & Pinegar, as an Attorney from January 2006 to October 2007. Scott also worked as an Attorney at Smith Freed Eberhard from April 2005 to January 2006 and at Blunck & Walhood, LLC from November 2002 to April 2005.

Scott Preston attended Brigham Young University from 1993 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a minor in Political Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they then attended the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. During their time at law school, Scott focused on Intellectual Property and Environmental law.
