Serena Boccella is a preclinical pharmacology and toxicology specialist with extensive experience in neuropharmacology, focusing on chronic pain and neuroinflammatory-based CNS/metabolic diseases. They obtained a PhD from Second University of Naples, where they developed skills in electrophysiology and behavioral analysis while investigating pain transduction mechanisms. Previously, they worked as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of British Columbia and held research positions at Epitech Group SpA and Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli. As an expert researcher at Dompé since 2022, Serena supports preclinical studies in ophthalmology and CNS field, and has published over 80 papers on their findings.
