David Olson

Principal Engineer - Membrane Technology at Donaldson

David Olson has extensive work experience in the water and process technology industry. David is currently working at Donaldson as a Principal Engineer specializing in membrane technology. Prior to this, they worked at SUEZ - Water Technologies & Solutions as a Senior Technology Leader in product development and applications. Before that, they had a long tenure at GE Water & Process Technologies, where they held various roles as a Lead Technologist in applications and qualification, new technology incubation, and membrane development. David began their career as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota.

David Olson holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Polymer Chemistry, which they earned from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chemistry and Math from St. Olaf College, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Between 2002 and 2004, they studied Polymer Chemistry at Iowa State University. In addition, Olson has additional certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from GE and Managing Projects in GE Energy Engineering from the Project Management College.
