Matt Brown

Principal Aerospace Engineer at Donaldson

Matt Brown has a strong background in aerospace engineering and has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Matt began their career at the University of Kansas, where they worked as a Lab Assistant and later as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching aerospace instrumentation and sensor design. Matt then joined DARcorporation as an Aerospace Engineer, where they worked on a wide range of projects and led an effort to modify a USAF wind tunnel calibration system. Matt then moved on to Sikorsky Aircraft, where they worked as a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer, providing support for flight and ground tests. Matt later joined Donaldson as an Aerospace Engineer, specializing in aerodynamic/performance analysis and testing of rotorcraft inlet protection systems. During their time at Donaldson, they advanced to the role of Senior Aerospace Engineer and is currently serving as the Principal Aerospace Engineer. Additionally, Matt served as the Vice-Chair of the SAE S-12 Powered Lift Propulsion Committee from 2018 to 2020.

Matt Brown completed their undergraduate studies at The University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from 2005 to 2009. Matt then pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Aerodynamics at the same university from 2010 to 2013. Currently, they are enrolled in The University of Alabama Graduate School, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics, which is currently in progress starting from 2022.
