I am a Senior ISO & SHEQ professional with 40+ years’ experience supporting organisations across engineering, waste & recycling, logistics, and manufacturing sectors.

I support SMEs because they are the backbone of the economy but often lack the resources for effective Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental management. My aim is to close that gap by providing practical, proportionate, and commercially focused support. I help businesses achieve ISO certification, improve compliance, keep employees safe at work and build robust management systems without unnecessary complexity. Ultimately, I enable SME owners to move from reactive problem-solving to proactive, controlled, and sustainable growth.

I am open to consultancy projects, senior leadership support (including start-ups and SME turnarounds), and retained SHEQ roles.

Proven impact includes:
• ISO 45001 certification delivered within 3 months
• Integrated management systems implemented across multi-site operations
• Cost savings through standardisation and efficiency improvements
• Development and leadership of internal audit programmes
• Successful turnaround of a failing wholesale business
• Establishment of operations at newly acquired sites
• Improved the safety record of a business with seventy staff
• Identified and resolved a potential major fire risk

Core services:
• Occupational Health & Safety leadership
• Development of Safe Operating Procedures
• ISO implementation & certification support
• Integrated Management Systems (IMS) design
• Internal audits, gap analysis & compliance reviews
• Risk management, RAMS, and contractor compliance
• Fire risk assessment & emergency planning

My approach is straightforward: build systems that work in the real world. The result is improved compliance, reduced risk, stronger staff engagement, and faster certification.
