John Evans is an accomplished design executive currently serving as VP and Head of Design at DoorDash since August 2025. Previously, John held the position of Chief Design Officer at Personio from April 2023 to July 2025. Before that, John was VP of Product Design at Meta from August 2015 to April 2023, where leadership encompassed prominent projects including News Feed, Stories, and Reels, overseeing a team of approximately 600 designers. John also contributed as Principal Product Designer at Google from February 2014 to August 2015, working on Material Design and the inception of Fuchsia OS. Earlier career experience includes serving as Product Design Director at Aether Things, where responsibilities spanned Industrial, Product, and Brand Design from September 2011 to January 2014. John holds an MA in New Media from the University of Art and Design Helsinki and a BA in Interaction/Industrial/User Experience Design from the University of Wales College Newport.
