Ben Davis has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering roles. Ben started their career as a Software Development Intern at F5 Networks, where they focused on the iHealth diagnostic system. Ben developed scripts using datamining techniques to detect known issues and created a predictive performance model.
Ben then worked as a Software Development Engineer (Contractor) at Microsoft Game Studios, where they developed tools to increase productivity for testers and developers. Ben contributed to titles such as Gears of War: Judgment, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Forza Motorsport 6.
Ben later joined Amazon as a Support Engineer before moving to Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer (Contractor). In this role, they worked on the User Interface development for the Microsoft Band, as well as game testing teams for Forza Motorsport.
Ben then became a Software Development Engineer II at Microsoft, focusing on diagnostic tool development for Surface devices and hardware diagnostic application development for Microsoft Surface Hub.
After Microsoft, Ben worked at SMART Technologies as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed new features for SMART Board digital whiteboards.
Currently, Ben is with Doosan GridTech, initially starting as a Software Development Engineer and eventually progressing to Senior Software Developer and Lead Software Developer roles. Their responsibilities include designing and implementing Modbus interfaces, deploying energy storage control applications, and maintaining and expanding Doosan GridTech's Energy Storage Simulator.
Throughout their career, Ben has acquired skills in various programming languages such as C++, C#, and embedded systems development. Ben has demonstrated expertise in developing user interfaces, automation, and system maintenance.
Ben Davis attended the University of Washington from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Software Systems. Previously, from 2002 to 2004, they studied at Bellevue College and obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Science.
