Ryan James, PhD

Ryan James, PhD, is the CEO and Co-founder of Dopl Technologies, a company focused on improving access to healthcare through telerobotic ultrasound procedures. With a background in computer science engineering, Ryan has experience in various roles such as Vice President of Engineering at Pluto VR, Software Development Engineer at Microsoft and Senior Medical Software Engineer at NVIDIA. Dr. James is also a co-founder of Pyrus and Pear Medical, where Ryan developed virtual and augmented reality-based technologies for medical procedures. Their academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics from the University of Washington, where Ryan focused on developing virtual reality and augmented reality interfaces for endovascular maneuvers.
