Benoit Jacob started their work experience in 2006 at Doris Engineering, where they held the role of Lead Project Flow Assurance Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for conducting flow assurance studies for basic engineering field development projects. Some of the specific studies they performed included steady state, cooldown, depressurisation, preservation, dead oil, hydrate risk, interface document, slug catcher sizing, and umbilical sizing. Benoit also served as a Pipeline Engineer for the same company, where they were in charge of pipeline studies for the South Pars 13/14 project with Shell. This involved tasks such as pipeline wall thickness sizing, concrete layering, freespan analysis, on-bottom stability, expansion calculation, and analysis of the risk of upheaval buckling. Prior to joining Doris Engineering, Benoit Jacob completed a 3rd year training course at Subsea 7, where they were responsible for creating a spreadsheet to manage the ballast tank of barge during loading on the yard. This spreadsheet needed to be adaptable to different vessels of the company with varying sizes and numbers of ballast.
Benoit JACOB obtained their Engineer degree in Physics of the Ocean from Seatech (ISITV) during the period of 2003 to 2006.
