Daniel Jackson is an experienced social worker with expertise in providing case assistance and support to isolated seniors through DOROT Westchester since August 2013. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a social worker and Evening Edition Coordinator at Family Services of Westchester, contributing to the My Second Home program, which supports older adults in a nurturing environment. Additionally, Daniel coordinated Livable Communities initiatives in the North Central Region, advocating for diverse community needs. With a strong foundation in graphic design, Daniel previously owned Jackson Graphic Design and held graphic design roles at Weyerhaeuser and Pacific School of Theology. Daniel holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and relevant educational qualifications in graphic design and biblical studies.

In a world where social connections -- so vital to the health and well-being of older adults -- are often difficult to come by, DOROT brings the generations together to form meaningful friendships through programs and services that benefit everyone. We are always looking for passionate and committed non-profit social work, program, and other professionals interested in working with older adults to join our team in a variety of positions. Based in New York City, DOROT has been a leading provider of social services to older adults for 45 years. To achieve its mission of alleviating social isolation among older adults, DOROT’s staff and trained volunteers ensure that older adults throughout Manhattan and Westchester are socially connected, engaged and aging well in their own homes. DOROT serves more than 6,200 older adults. During COVID, DOROT’s virtual programming became a source of inspiration and virtual connection for seniors throughout the U.S. Many of DOROT’s programs are fueled by volunteers – more than 6,000 of all ages are engaged annually to make in-home social visits, deliver care packages, enjoy friendly phone conversations on a weekly basis, play online chess, provide tech coaching, participate in intergenerational discussions and so much more.
