Benjamin Mattes is an experienced professional in sports management with a strong background in project coordination, event organization, and marketing strategies. Currently serving as Referent des Vorstands Leistungssport at the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund since October 2022, Benjamin oversees projects and processes in professional sports. Previous roles include Project Leader Sport Events at Jacaranda Sport Consulting GmbH, where significant events like the Ice Hockey World Championship and IAA's Blue Lane were managed, and Senior Manager Executive Board at the German Volleyball Federation, leading marketing and digital transformation efforts. With a Master's degree in Sport Management from Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln and a Bachelor's in Economics from Ulm University and the University of Adelaide, Benjamin has developed a comprehensive skill set in international sales, stakeholder communication, and strategic development throughout a diverse career in sports organizations.

The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is the umbrella organization of German sport. We stand for performance, health, the joy of life and promotion of values. We represent more than 27 million memberships in almost 90.000 sport clubs and 100 member organizations, making the DOSB Germany's largest citizens' movement. The DOSB is a registered association (e.V.) with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, supported by an office in Berlin and an EU office in Brussels. Its patron is the German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
