Eva Werthmann

Eva Werthmann is a skilled communications professional with extensive experience in the sports sector. Currently serving as the Head of Communications at the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund (DOSB) since November 2021, Eva previously held the same position at the Deutsche Triathlon Union from June 2017 to October 2021, where responsibilities included strategic communications and acting as spokesperson. As Media Operations Senior Manager at the International Paralympic Committee from 2008 to May 2017, Eva managed media operations and provided guidance to Organising Committees for Paralympic and other championships. Additionally, Eva contributed as a member of the International Olympic Committee Press Commission from April 2014 to June 2015, focusing on optimizing working conditions for the press during the Olympic Games. Eva holds a Diplom in Sportwissenschaften, Medien&Kommunikation from Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, obtained in 2008, and completed secondary education at Balthasar-Neumann Gymnasium Marktheidenfeld in 2002.

We represent more than 27 million memberships in almost 90.000 sport clubs and 100 member organizations, making the DOSB Germany's largest citizens' movement.
