Jonathan E. Howard, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at NYU and chief of the Neurology Service at Bellevue Hospital.
He graduated from the Keck USC School of Medicine and then completed a double-board program in Neurology and Psychiatry at NYU Langone School of Medicine before completing a Fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis also at NYU.
His research is focused on Multiple Sclerosis and he has been principal investigator or co-investigator on several large clinical trials.
He serves as Clerkship Director in Neurology and received the NYU Distinction in Education Award in 2017. He has edited textbooks including the Neurology Video Textbook DVD, 2nd edition, Neurology Image-Based Clinical Review, Neurology Q&A Review, Cognitive Errors and Diagnostic Mistakes, and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis. He also writes about vaccines at Science Based Medicine.
