Matt Monroe

Matt Monroe has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Matt currently works at dotCMS as a DevOps/Support Engineer, where they collaborate with the engineering team to manage infrastructure and maintain SOC2 security standards. Matt is responsible for enhancing and maintaining the automation framework and toolset for infrastructure provisioning on AWS and GCP.

Prior to working at dotCMS, Matt served as a Senior Infrastructure Architect at Motiv Solutions Inc from 2020 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for designing and overseeing infrastructure architecture.

Before that, Matt worked at dotCMS as a Support Engineer from 2013 to 2020, where they provided support and assistance to clients.

Matt also has experience as a Freelance Computer Consultant, working on IT projects for small companies on a contract basis. Matt primarily focused on web development and setting up office IT infrastructure, using technologies like Django/Python, Postgres, Linux, and OS X.

Additionally, Matt has worked at TEKsystems as an Infrastructure Specialist in 2013, Chameleon Integrated Services as a Configuration Management Team Lead for USDA from 2006 to 2013, Rose International as a Senior Application Architect from 2001 to 2006, CommercialWare as a Web Domain Expert from 2000 to 2001, Spatial Technologies as a Senior Application Architect from 1999 to 2000, and Rhythms NetConnections as a Web Developer from 1998 to 1999.

Throughout their career, Matt has gained experience in various areas of IT, including infrastructure management, support, architecture, and web development.

Matt Monroe began their education at Santa Clara High School from 1986 to 1988, where they obtained their high school diploma. Matt then attended West Valley College from 1988 to 1990 and earned an AA degree in History. Following that, they enrolled at Santa Clara University from 1989 to 1992 and obtained a BA degree in History. In 2011, Matt obtained a certification as an Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation 10 Certified Implementation Specialist from Oracle University.
