Ken Degnan has a diverse work experience in operations and merchandise control. Ken worked as a Director of Operations at Dotcom Distribution starting from 2012. Prior to that, Ken worked at Barnes & Noble for a significant period, where they held the role of Production Planning and Inventory Controller at the Monroe distribution center. Ken was responsible for managing all aspects of production planning and inventory control for 1 million titles, overseeing shipments to 1,000 stores and online customers. Ken also served as the Director of Merchandise Control/Admin at Barnes & Noble, where they increased the title count from 12,000 to 1,000,000, making the company a leader in the industry. Ken implemented i2 Demand Planner and Supply Chain Planner, resulting in improved backlist fill rates and turnover. Before their tenure at Barnes & Noble, Ken worked as the Director of Merchandise Control at Gander Mountain, where they established the Merchandise Control Department and improved the initial catalog fill rate.
Ken Degnan earned a BA in Business and Psychology from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota from 1969 to 1973. Following this, they pursued an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota, which they completed from 1973 to 1975.
