William Grootonk

William Grootonk is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and team leadership. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Team Lead at Dotdash Meredith since March 2023, William previously held multiple positions, including Senior Software Engineer at Vidaloop, where leadership in developing the Voterly civic-engagement product was a key focus. With a background encompassing software engineering roles at various companies such as Web Shop Manager, GoFundMe, Dynamic Vision Inc., Kalloc Studios, MeLLmo, and Sony Online Entertainment, William has developed a robust skill set in designing and implementing scalable software solutions, process improvements, and microservices architecture. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego, William has a strong foundation in technology and user interface development.
