Michal Kaczmarczyk

Michal Kaczmarczyk has a long and varied work experience. Michal started their career in 2005 as a Software Consultant and Team Leader at NEC Laboratories America, Inc. where they co-created a large revolutionary and innovative grid storage platform and was responsible for system management unit and interface between the low-level software and GUI. In 2007, they worked as a Software Development Engineer in Tests (Intern) at Microsoft Corporation. In 2008, they joined 9livesdata as an Engineering Manager and Senior Software Architect. During their time at 9livesdata, they worked out a unique model of joined and supportive technical leadership in the project and expanded the team from 7 to 35 engineers (6 teams). Michal also implemented distributed and scalable machine learning algorithms producing data models from training data on a large cluster and worked closely with researchers from NEC Laboratories America. In 2009, they became a Teaching Assistant at Warsaw University. In 2020, they joined dotData | Accelerate Data Science as an Engineering Manager.

Michal Kaczmarczyk holds a PhD in Computer Science - Distributed Systems from the University of Warsaw, which they obtained in 2016. Michal also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Warsaw, which they obtained in 2006. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Warsaw, which they obtained in 2004. Michal also completed a one-year course in Economics at SGH Warsaw School of Economics in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they studied Economics at the University of Warsaw in 2005-2006.
