Inderpal M.'s work experience begins in 1988, where they worked as a Research Student Associate at IBM Research while studying at Stanford. During their time at IBM, they focused on query optimization and contributed to several research papers, ultimately earning a Ph.D.

In 1991, Inderpal M. joined AT&T Bell Labs and AT&T Labs as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. Inderpal led a research program in database technologies and their applications to telecom applications important to AT&T.

In 1997, Inderpal M. founded Savera Systems, where they served as the Founder, CTO, and CEO until 2000. Savera developed web-based billing software for telecom and IP carriers, as well as prepaid billing software for wireless carriers.

In 2000, Inderpal M. founded Kirusa and served as the Founder, Chairman, and CEO. Under their leadership, Kirusa became a world leader in multimodal infrastructure for wireless carriers and enterprises to offer multimodal applications with vocal and visual interfaces.

In 2015, Inderpal M. became a Member of the Board of Directors at TechUnited.

In 2021, Inderpal M. took on the role of CEO at Dotgo, a company that enables brands and developers to transform customer interactions through rich business messaging. Dotgo is a Google partner, a WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, and a member of the Mobile Ecosystem Forum. Inderpal also became the Executive Vice President at Gupshup, leading all things RCS (Rich Communication Services) and the Telecom Business vertical. Dotgo is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Gupshup.

Inderpal M. started their education journey in 1968 at Frank Anthony Public School, where they completed their ICSE degree in the field of All. Inderpal then attended Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram from 1980 to 1982, earning a High School degree with a focus on Sciences. In 1982, Inderpal went on to study Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where they obtained their B.Tech. degree in 1986. Continuing their pursuit of knowledge in Computer Science, they attended Stanford University from 1986 to 1991, earning a Ph.D. degree in the field.
