Charles Roesel

Charles Roesel is a Senior Application Scientist at Dotmatics since January 2023, bringing extensive experience in bioinformatics and software engineering. Previously, Charles held multiple roles at Northeastern University from September 2014 to February 2022, including Postdoctoral Research Associate, Part-Time Lecturer, and Bioinformatics Instructor. Charles contributed to the development of an RNAi reagent analysis tool during a Bioinformatics Internship at Harvard Medical School from May 2012 to August 2013. Earlier in Charles's career, significant roles included Principal Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments from 1996 to October 2011, where high-availability middle-tier components were developed, and Programmer/Analyst at Intervoice from 1993 to 1996. Charles's education includes a PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology and an MS in Bioinformatics from Northeastern University, along with a BA in Economics from the University of Florida.
