Matthew Cheung

Matthew Cheung's work experience includes various roles at Dotmatics and Geneious. Matthew started in 2019 as the Director of Engineering at Dotmatics, where they were responsible for leading engineering teams working on Geneious products. Prior to that, they held the positions of Team Lead for Bioinformatics Cloud and Team Lead for Geneious Biologics at Dotmatics. At Geneious, Matthew served as the Director of Engineering and Team Lead for Bioinformatics Cloud, as well as Team Lead for Geneious Biologics and Development Team Lead for Geneious Prime. Matthew was also involved in special projects development and worked as a Software Developer and System Administrator. Before their time at Dotmatics and Geneious, Matthew was a Summer Scholarship Recipient/Student Developer at CECIL, University of Auckland, where they worked on a project involving the university's learning management system.

Matthew Cheung attended The University of Auckland from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (HONS) degree in Software Engineering.
