Michael Desert

Michael Desert has a long and varied work experience. Michael began their career in 2005 with Photonics Bretagne, where they worked on research and training projects. In 2006, they joined Qioptiq, An Excelitas Technologies Company, as an Account Manager Research and Laboratories. Here, they developed existing business, established new accounts, detected new OEM customers, and managed projects for OEM customers. In 2010, they moved to ID Quantique SA, where they held the role of VP Single-Photon Systems and Head of Division Photon Counting. In this role, they were responsible for contractual aspects of projects, defining new product specifications, developing and managing relations with strategic suppliers and partners, and providing technical liaison between clients and academia. Finally, in 2018, they joined Dotphoton as VP Sales - Product Management B2B.

Michael Desert received their Master's degree in Photonics from the National School of Applied Science and Technology between 2003 and 2006. Michael also attended Université de Caen Normandie.
