Matthew Simons has held various roles in the technology industry since 2003. In 2003, they co-founded Crucial Contact Inc. and served as Co-founder & CTO. In 2006, they became Partner/VP of Technology at 3Cinteractive | An IMImobile company, which was acquired by IMImobile in 2019 and Cisco in 2021. In 2009, they co-founded Telemethod, which was acquired in 2015. From 2007 to 2021, they served as an Advisor for Orion's Quest, a nonprofit organization built to challenge America's students to excel in math and science through their active participation in space-based research. In 2018, they co-founded Greenback, which was acquired by Dext in 2021. Since 2021, they have served as Commercial Director for Dext, a cloud accounting platform designed to make accounting professionals more productive and profitable.

Matthew Simons attended Eastern Michigan University from 1996 to 2001, where they studied Computer Information Systems in the School of Business.
