Global Operations Lead at Double Pass

Stig Meylemans has a diverse work experience in the field of football development and performance management. Stig currently holds the position of Global Operations Lead at Double Pass, where they are responsible for optimizing youth player potential in football. Prior to this role, Stig worked as a Football Development Manager at Double Pass, where they assessed and advised football clubs and leagues on talent development.

Before joining Double Pass, Stig was a Teacher UEFA-A Football at BLOSO, where they trained and taught participants in physical preparation for football. Stig was also appointed as a guest lecturer for the UEFA-Pro License course.

Stig also served as a Senior Research Development Manager at topsportslab, a spin-off company from the University of Leuven, where they focused on performance management in professional football and other sports. Stig implemented continuous monitoring of athletes using key performance indicators.

Earlier in their career, Stig worked at OH Leuven, a professional Belgian football club, as a Performance Coordinator Academy. Stig was responsible for coordinating the physical development of the entire youth academy and served as the physical coach of the club's second team.

Additionally, Stig had various roles at KU Leuven. Stig served as a coach for the university football team and as a liaison between the university and the Flemish Trainer School. Stig incorporated scientific research into the Trainer School's textbooks and conducted practical and theoretical lectures for sport science and physical education students.

Stig Meylemans has a diverse education history. Stig first attended the Johan Cruyff Institute, where they pursued a PgD in Football Business. Following this, from 2006 to 2010, Stig studied at KU Leuven, earning a Master's degree in sport science. During this time, they also attended KBVB/UEFA, specializing in UEFA A Elite Youth and football. Stig returned to KU Leuven in 2010 for further studies, obtaining a Master's degree in aggregate - teacher education in 2011. Lastly, they attended the International Academy for Sport Science from 2011 to 2014, where they acquired training as a Physical Rehabilitation Trainer (PRT).
