Chris Rempel

Director of Sales and New Product Development at Douglas Electrical Components

Chris Rempel has a diverse work experience in the electrical components industry. Chris began their career as an Assistant Applications Engineer at Mine Safety Appliances in August 2003, where they played a key role in the transition from Macintosh to PC-based AutoCAD software.

Later, Rempel joined Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. in July 2003 as an Application Engineer. During their time there, they successfully obtained the largest single order in company history and handled the entire project cycle as the primary contact and engineering lead.

In August 2006, Rempel was promoted to Regional Sales Manager at Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. Chris was responsible for managing sales territories and achieving a 22% growth in overall bookings. Chris also prepared client presentations, conducted market research, supervised trade shows, targeted new clients/accounts, and negotiated prices.

From June 2009 to December 2013, Rempel worked as an Application Engineering Manager at Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. In this role, they managed the Applications Engineering department and played a crucial part in lean transformation activities, resulting in significant improvements in productivity, lead time, and floor space reduction.

In January 2014, Rempel was promoted to Director of Sales and New Product Development at Douglas Electrical Components, Inc. Chris became a member of the Executive Leadership team and was involved in strategic planning, future state mapping, and gap identification. Rempel also led and managed the Sales, Applications Engineering, and Marketing teams, exceeding sales targets and growing revenue for clients in the US and internationally.

Throughout their career, Rempel has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, sales, and engineering skills.

Chris Rempel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, with an unspecified start year and graduation in 2003. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued an EMBA - Masters in Business Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
