Doug Smith

Doug Smith is a highly experienced engineering consultant and trainer with a focus on design and verification engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Consultant and Trainer at Doulos since December 2021, Doug previously held various roles at Mentor Graphics, including Verification Consultant and Formal Verification Technology Specialist, specializing in UVM and formal functional verification. Doug's earlier experience includes a position as Senior Field Application Engineer at Jasper Design Automation and a significant tenure as Verification Manager at Duolog Technologies. With a background that includes verification engineering roles at Sun Microsystems, Doug has a solid foundation in verification methodologies and team management. Doug holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Biology from Northern Kentucky University.
