Jacob Robbins

Jacob Robbins is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Emeterra, that develops and operates food and agribusiness projects by promoting innovative technology in various emerging markets. Emeterra works with a wide spectrum of regional and multinational food and beverage companies across the world. Products covered include sugar and sugar derivatives, next generation non-caloric natural sweeteners, starch & starch derivatives, fresh produce, dairy products and tropical juices with focus on new variants and functional food and botanical extracts.

Prior to Emeterra, Jacob spent 20 years in various executive roles with The Coca-Cola Company in multi-geographic and global executive positions. His last role with Coca-Cola was that of Managing Director covering the global Coca-Cola system’s major agro-commodities, leading the world’s largest supply chain of sugar and starch sweeteners.

He started his career in India’s largest business conglomerate, the Tata Group, where he was part of the TAS, the Group’s flagship leadership program. During this period, he worked in Tata Steel successfully developing and leading Tata Steel’s main international trading platform for agricultural commodities, establishing it with a global presence.

Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with Honors, followed by qualifications in Management with Honors, complemented with program at Wharton and the Harvard Business School.
