Alix Schmidt

Alix Schmidt is an experienced data scientist currently serving as the R&D Model Deployment Strategy Leader at Dow since July 2017. In this role, Alix develops strategies and technologies for sustainable machine learning model deployment, leads predictive formulation and materials informatics research with pending patent applications, and chaired a community of practice for data scientists. Previously, Alix worked at Dow Corning as a High Throughput Research Engineer and Process R&D Engineer, managing research projects and conducting process feasibility studies. Alix holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
