Bea Braun

Bea (Birgit) Braun is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics within the chemical manufacturing sector. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at Dow since February 2011, Bea has held various roles including Principal Research Scientist, where the focus was on data science and hybrid modeling, and Process Chemometrics/Data Scientist, emphasizing multivariate data analytics for manufacturing troubleshooting. With a strong foundation in statistical analysis and process optimization, Bea has contributed significantly to advancing Dow's data research capabilities and has demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams. Prior to Dow, Bea held research positions at PolyNEW Inc. and served as a process engineer at VTU Engineering. Bea holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, an MSc in Environmental Science and Engineering, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Process Engineering from renowned institutions.
