Han Zhang

Han Zhang, Ph.D., serves as the Global Sustainability Director for Packaging and Specialty Plastics at Dow, a role held since August 2013, where responsibilities include enhancing the sustainability value of plastics and leading initiatives aligned with Dow’s sustainability goals. Previously, Han held multiple sustainability-focused positions within Dow, including APAC Sustainability Director and Sustainability Leader, where efforts centered on promoting a circular economy and addressing critical issues like marine debris and plastics recycling. Prior experience includes roles at Phillips 66 as an Associate Engineer and ConocoPhillips as a Life Cycle Analyst, where Han contributed to biofuel development and public advocacy for natural gas sustainability. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University.
