Joe Sootsman

Joe Sootsman, Ph.D., has extensive experience in mobility and transportation with a focus on conductive composites. They completed their Ph.D. at Northwestern University in 2009 and have held various roles, including serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Dow, where they led global product development for electrically conductive silicone composites. Previously, Joe worked at Michigan State University as a Graduate Student and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan. They also contributed to The Dow Chemical Company as an intern and held positions at Dow Corning as an Associate Research Specialist and Senior Materials Engineer.
