John Kramer

John Kramer is currently the Associate R&D Director at The Dow Chemical Company, where they serve as a Technical Leader in the Core R&D organization. Trained as a synthetic chemist, John has expertise in small molecule and polymer synthesis, particularly in controlled and living polymerization techniques. They obtained a PhD from Cornell University in 2008, specializing in the catalytic carbonylation of epoxides, and have contributed to multiple high-impact publications and patent filings. Prior to their current role, John held various positions at Dow, including Lead R&D Manager and Senior Chemist. They also graduated with a BA in chemistry and environmental studies from Grinnell College.
