Joseph Accardo

Joseph Accardo is a highly experienced professional in chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Research Specialist at Dow since March 2022. Prior to this role, Joseph gained valuable research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University from September 2016 to December 2021, under the guidance of Professor Julia. Joseph also demonstrated leadership and organizational skills as Co-President of the Phi Lambda Upsilon Alpha Gamma Chapter at Northwestern University, managing a budget of $20,000 and coordinating biweekly board meetings. Additional contributions include serving as Social Chair and Volunteer, organizing events for the Chemistry department. Joseph's commitment to community service is evident from volunteering at First Ascent Climbing & Fitness, teaching safe climbing practices, as well as early work experience as a Pizza Cook at Papa John's (GB) Ltd. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Florida State University.
