Matthew Baker

Matthew Baker holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, where graduate work focused on the development of nickel and palladium catalysts for synthesizing conjugated polymers. Experience includes roles as a Senior Chemist and currently as an Associate Research Scientist at Dow. Previously served as Interim Assistant Director at Carnegie Mellon University's NMR Facility, managing instrument training and maintenance, and overseeing research as a Laboratory Manager. Earlier summer research experience at the University of Massachusetts Amherst was sponsored by the National Science Foundation's REU program, providing foundational research exposure in polymer science and engineering.
