Michael Gilbert

Michael Gilbert has extensive experience in engineering and management roles across the military and chemical industries. Serving as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from December 1991 to January 1995, Gilbert led multiple engineering departments and was fully qualified in critical naval operations. At DuPont from January 2005 to June 2006, Gilbert held various managerial positions, including Area Manager-Technical, where leadership of 29 technical personnel was crucial for the Butacite® business. Subsequently, Gilbert advanced through roles such as Site Reliability Leader, Area Manager-Maintenance, and Area Manager-Production, focusing on reliability engineering and production management in high-hazard chemical processes. Gilbert's career is further complemented by roles at Dow, leading mechanical integrity and reliability initiatives. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University.
