Ryan Baumgartner

Ryan Baumgartner is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in both academic and industrial settings. Currently at Dow since June 2017, Ryan has held titles including Research Scientist, Associate Research Scientist, and Senior Research Specialist, contributing to various projects in materials chemistry. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on polypeptide polymerizations and nanomedicine synthesis. Earlier experience includes research positions at the University of Minnesota, where Ryan synthesized small molecule inhibitors for HIV and engaged in recombinant DNA technology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota.
