Stephanie Bortko is an experienced professional in the field of research and development with a strong background in chemical engineering and chemistry. Currently serving as Associate R&D Director at The Dow Chemical Company since April 2009, Stephanie leads product development and commercialization efforts focused on waterborne polymers for the global architectural coatings market. Prior roles include Program Leader for Core R&D, where innovation pipelines were established, and Process Technology and Scale-up Leader, managing scale-up and process development activities for emulsion and solution polymers. Previously, at Rohm and Haas from March 1987 to April 2009, Stephanie managed scale-up activities for polymers and held various individual contributor and leadership roles.
