Tyler Heyl is a Senior Research Specialist at The Dow Chemical Company, focusing on product development within Dow Performance Silicones. Tyler earned a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Northwestern University, where research included imaging microstructures of soft materials and investigating their properties. Previously, Tyler has held roles as an R&D intern at Carlisle Construction Materials and Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance, and served as a tutor and teaching assistant at Northwestern University. Through these experiences, Tyler has developed expertise in polyurethane chemistry and various advanced imaging techniques.
