Ajith Fernando

Ajith Fernando is a highly experienced HSEQR Manager with over 20 years in health and safety management, risk, and quality assurance. Currently serving at Downer, Ajith manages the quality risk and compliance framework for a public-private partnership contract while actively seeking continuous improvement in performance. Previously, Ajith held managerial roles at reclaim, Vector Limited, and Tonga Power Limited, where they developed significant risk management frameworks and business continuity plans. Ajith holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of Waikato, including an MBA, along with various qualifications in finance, accounting, and business research methodology. Additionally, Ajith is a member of the WasteMINZ HSE Steering Committee.
