Jan O’Neill

Jan O'Neill is an accomplished human resources leader with extensive experience in various senior HR roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Chief People Officer and Executive General Manager of Human Resources at Downer since May 2015, Jan O'Neill previously held the position of General Manager of Human Resources at Public Trust from November 2013 to May 2015, where the focus was on transforming the organization into a profitable and customer-centric entity. Prior to that, Jan O'Neill worked at Telecom NZ as Group Human Resources Director, concentrating on HR strategy and organizational change from April 2011 to December 2012. Jan O'Neill's earlier experience at Telecom New Zealand from 1998 to 2011 included leadership roles in HR for the Retail unit and overall HR strategy development, emphasizing cultural change, performance management, and leadership development. Jan O'Neill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Victoria University of Wellington and has completed education at Mamaroneck High School, Massey University, and St Cuthberts College.
