Michael Smith is a Completions Engineer at Downer, involved in the Djilang alliance for station and rail upgrades along the Geelong line since May 2023. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Metro Trains Melbourne as a Completions Engineer from July 2019 to May 2023 on the Southern Program Alliance, part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. Michael began with Metro Trains Melbourne as a Graduate Engineer, participating in a three-year rotational program that enhanced skills in railway maintenance and operations. Additionally, Michael has volunteered with the Happy Africa Foundation, taught in Zambia, and gained international experience at IIT Hyderabad.
