Nathan Cartwright is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the rail and transit systems sector. Since June 2017, Nathan has served as General Manager of Engineering Capability and Assurance at Downer, having previously held positions such as Engineering Manager for Rail & Transit Systems and Scope and Compliance Manager for the Rail Fusion Alliance. Nathan's expertise extends to a secondment at Hyundai Rotem as a Senior Engineer for Queensland's new rolling stock fleet, currently focusing on developing advanced train-to-platform boarding systems. Prior to joining Downer, Nathan worked at Bombardier Transportation, advancing through roles from Graduate Engineer to Head of Design, and began his career as a Graduate Intern at Outokumpu. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.
