Steve Hobbs

Steve Hobbs is an experienced Senior Planning Engineer currently seconded to the Turitea Wind Farm project at Downer New Zealand since July 2020. With a career spanning multiple high-profile positions, Hobbs has held senior roles at various companies, including Basrah Gas Company, where involvement was focused on the world's largest gas flare reduction project, and Shell, where projects included significant asset development and shutdown planning in offshore conditions. Prior experience includes leadership in planning engineering at Ramboll Oil & Gas on a record-setting offshore pipeline and a lead role with AMEC and BP on a range of major oil and gas projects. Education includes a BSc Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Reading.
