John Pilbeam

John Pilbeam is currently the Construction Director at Downing LLP, where they provide in-house technical strategy and oversight for development projects funded by Downing managed funds. With a career spanning over 40 years, John has extensive experience in project management and risk oversight across various sectors and countries. Before their role at Downing LLP, John held positions including Vice President at AIG and Projects Director for Shore Energy, leading multi-sector projects with significant capital expenditures. John began their career as a partner at Weatherall Green & Smith, where they established a new Scottish office and built a diverse client base. They earned a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying from the University of Reading, graduating with first-class honors.
