Lucy Floate

Lucy Floate is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the People Director at Downing since August 2023, after a brief tenure as Interim Senior People Manager. Previously, Lucy held the position of Human Resources Director at Thirdway for a short period in early 2023. With a substantial career at U+I (U and I Group PLC) from July 2014 to December 2022 as Head of Human Resources, and earlier roles including HR Manager at Qatari Diar and HR Officer at Doughty Hanson, Lucy has a robust background in HR management. Additional experience includes positions at Lazard Asset Management, Gartmore, Penson Financial Services, and the General Social Care Council, showcasing a diverse HR career. Lucy holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Portsmouth and has been a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) since 2011.
