Jane K. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jane started their career as a Marketing Intern at Filter Magazine in 2005. Jane then worked as a Sales Assistant at Skyhorse Publishing before transitioning to an Administrative Assistant role at Condé Nast. In 2009, they became a Co-Teacher at Williamsburg Northside Schools, where they co-taught in special needs and regular classrooms.

After that, Jane worked as a Freelance English Consultant, serving as a press coordinator and providing writing and editorial services to different organizations. In 2014, they attended Dev Bootcamp, a web development program, and built an e-commerce platform as their final project.

Jane then joined GiveForward as a Software Developer, where they developed high-quality code and collaborated closely with product managers, designers, and engineers. Jane also implemented agile practices and participated in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.

In 2016, Jane joined OfficeLuv as a Developer, where they built and deployed internal and customer-facing tools. Jane gained experience in building RESTful APIs, designing relational models, and using Ruby on Rails and various NodeJS and Sinatra servers. Jane also gained familiarity with React with Redux for consumer-facing products.

In 2018, Jane joined divvyDOSE as a Software Developer. Jane delivered multiple complex features under tight deadlines, taking end-to-end ownership using React with Redux and Flask. Jane also gained exposure to infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer, and led several manual production deploys.

Most recently, Jane has been working as a Software Engineer at Doximity since 2020.

Jane K. attended Dev Bootcamp in 2014-2015, where they studied software development. Prior to that, they studied graphic design at the School of Visual Arts from 2009-2010. Jane also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where they studied American Literature and Culture, Creative Writing, and Music History.
