Dry Port of Duhok (DPD) was established in 2018 which is the first inland port in the country. The port lies alongside a planned arterial motorway connecting the Turkish border via Erbil and Bagdad to Basra; 50km from the Turkish border, 60km from the Syrian border, and 175km from the Iranian border.

The port covers an area of 100 hectares. Currently, DPD has 11.000m2 of warehouse space, 10.000m2 open storage, and a parking yard for 400 trucks. The upcoming years this will be expanded to 50.000m2 of warehouse space and truck parking space for 2000 trucks.

DPD is the owner of warehouses, yards, and IT systems. This asset-based approach allows it to manage maximum control over all critical processes. DPD always strives to respond quickly to the requirements of its clients and changes in the International market.
