Amith Maharaj

Amith Maharaj is currently the Vice President of Tax at DP World, a position held since 2024. Prior to this role, Amith served as the Head of Tax for the Wealth & Investment Cluster at Old Mutual Limited from 2020 to 2024. Amith also spent 19 years at Deloitte, where they became a Partner in the Tax division, specializing in corporate tax within the financial services sector. Amith completed their articles at Deloitte in 2003 and has practical experience in various aspects of taxation, particularly in corporate matters related to banking and hedge funds. Amith holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Accounting & Taxation from the University of Natal.
